Lyon players say playing in a stadium with no fans allowed in is ‘still a better atmosphere than the Etihad’, according to sources.
The French side shocked Premier League winners Man City at the Etihad in the first group stage game.

According to unofficial club snapper Lee Satchell, who was on the sidelines for the match against Shakhtar, the players all thought the atmosphere was better inside the empty Groupama Stadium than the Etihad.
Despite not a single Lyon fan being allowed entry for the game, the players still said there was more noise than their match against the English champions, according to Satchell.
Satchell added that he heard one player saying he didn’t realise the stadium in Manchester wasn’t full until he noticed the chairs were also sky-blue.
