League One side Oldham confirm they HAVEN’T made an offer for Alexis Sanchez this month

It seems everyone and their aunt has been linked with Alexis Sanchez lately.

Arsenal’s want-away forward has been eyed by Manchester City, United and Chelsea this month – with United apparently the favourites at the moment.

Even Liverpool – who are pretty well off after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona – are an outside bet to get ‘im.

However, no one’s made a case for Oldham’s chances to sign the Chile international.

That’s right, the League One also-rans have joined the great Sanchez saga, officially confirming that they haven’t made an offer for the 29-year-old.

The announcement was made after the club’s right-back Ryan McLaughlin directly tweeted Oldham’s Twitter account to announce the imminent arrival of the former Barcelona player to the club.

The club can confirm that no offer has been made for Alexis Sanchez.

    Top banter, to be fair.

Oldham – who are currently 20th in the League One table, just above the drop zone on goal-difference – could sure use a player of Sanchez’s talents.

However, we sincerely doubt they could fork out the reported wage package United are willing to cough up.

If Sanchez does move to Old Trafford this month, he could reportedly earn almost TRIPLE his £130,000-a-week salary.

What’s more, despite being available for free in the summer when his contract runs out, Sanchez could move for up to £35 million plus Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Start raiding your piggie banks, Oldham fans.
