Manchester United are finally prepared to offload Luke Shaw for a £11.5million loss in the winter transfer window.
Newcastle United are one among the clubs who have the defender under their radar, and it has been the case for a while.
The St James’ Park outfit has reportedly inquired about the 22-year-old’s availability, however, they could be priced out by United’s demands, according to Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are set to get rid of the ex-Saints man for a £20m offer, despite having hauled him from Southampton for £31.5m, a world-record fee for a teenager then in 2014.
According to the latest sources, if a transfer for the left-back is not being actualized as the transfer window advances, Rafa Benitez, who’s evidently desperate for securing a player who could take care of the left flank, will return with a loan offer.
Shaw’s reputation went down since the horrible leg injury he suffered in a Champions League game against PSV in September 2015. The advent of Mourinho further aggravated the issue.
He has made just 29 appearances in Premier League for the club and his only appearances this season was two substitute outings in the Carabao Cup, with just 47 minutes of first-team football in total.
Mourinho has been reluctant in choosing the player owing to the fact that the defender is not able to showcase the skills the gaffer yearns for. The Portuguese tactician proclaimed that he has to work and improve or he would not be considered for selection.
Although multiple injuries brought him down the pecking order, the player still possesses talents enough to attract other clubs.
However, Shaw is keen to remain in England and will move, provided there is a guarantee of first-team football. It’s now not far-fetched to expect him being offloaded by the Old Trafford outfit in a few months.
